Programs Fire Science
Our nation depends on those skilled in fire science to maintain the safety, security and welfare of our communities.  The extensive training that you will receive from Antelope Valley Medical College prepares those men and women for rewarding careers in fire services.  AVMC’s fire science program prepares students for careers such as; fire fighters, emergency management services, arson investigators, hazardous material specialist, safety technicians and insurance investigators. 

Program Objective
The fire science program will prepare will prepare graduates for an exciting career in the public or private fire science field.  The student will learn both theoretical concepts and practical applications of fire suppression, fire science management, fire prevention techniques, arson investigations, as well as the alleviation of hazardous material accidents. You must be a licensed EMT to qualify for the fire science program.
