Programs Pharmacy Technician
A nationwide shortage and a growing popularity of prescription medications have allowed pharmacy technicians the opportunity to play an important role in today's pharmaceutical industry. Pharmacy technicians work directly under the pharmacist in a variety of settings including hospitals, local pharmacies, medical clinics, on-line companies, home infusion, insurance and pharmaceutical companies. Our curriculum provides the knowledge and training as it relates to the history of medicine, pharmacies, ethics, law, dosage calculations, prescription processing, billing, chemistry and much more.

Program Objective
Students completing the program requirements earn a certificate of completion in Pharmacy Technician and are eligible to apply to the California State Board of Pharmacy, for a license to practice as a Pharmacy Technician.  Graduates can also sit for the National Pharmacy Technician certification examination.
